Refund & Cancellation Policy

Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 7–10 working days. Advance payments are non-transferable to a different journey unless agreed in writing.

Cancellation by Ettiq Trails

If we cancel a trip due to natural disaster, government advisory, unsafe trail conditions, or force majeure, you will receive a full refund within 7 days. We will notify all participants at least 7 days in advance wherever possible.

If a trip is cancelled due to insufficient bookings (minimum group size not met), you will receive a full refund or an option to transfer to the next available batch.

Mid-trip exits

If you choose to exit a trek mid-journey for personal reasons, no refund will be provided for the remaining days. If you are evacuated for medical reasons, we will assist with evacuation logistics. Medical evacuation costs are the participant's responsibility — we strongly recommend travel insurance with emergency evacuation cover.

Itinerary changes

Mountain conditions are unpredictable. Routes, accommodation, and schedules may change due to weather, road closures, or safety considerations. These are not grounds for a refund. Ettiq Trails will make all reasonable efforts to deliver an equivalent experience.

Travel insurance

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance that covers:

  • Trip cancellation and curtailment
  • Emergency medical treatment and evacuation
  • High-altitude trekking (check your policy — many standard policies exclude this)
