Drive: Shimla → Narkanda → Reckong Peo
Depart Shimla early. Drive along Sutlej River through Kinnaur. Apple orchards, river gorges, ancient temples.
Reckong Peo → Nako → Tabo
Kalpa viewpoint at dawn — perfect Kinner Kailash view. Drive through dramatic Kinnaur valley. Visit Nako Lake. Reach Tabo.
Tabo → Dhankar → Kaza
Tabo Monastery, over 1,000 years old. Dhankar on a cliff edge. Kaza is your base for the next two days.
Kaza exploration: Key · Kibber · Komic · Hikkim
Key Monastery sunrise. Kibber village. Komic — highest motorable village. Post a letter from Hikkim post office.
Pin Valley National Park
Full day in Pin Valley. Cold desert landscape. Chance of spotting Ibex and rare Himalayan birds. Quiet, no tourists.
Kaza → Chandratal Lake
Drive over Kunzum Pass (4,551m). Camp at the edge of Chandratal. Most cinematic night of the trip — stars reflect on the lake.
Chandratal → Rohtang → Manali
Last sunrise at the lake. Cross Rohtang. Arrive Manali — rest, Old Manali walk, local food.
Manali: Rest + Solang Valley
Free day. Optional Solang Valley, Hadimba Temple, mall road, cafes.
Manali → Jibhi → Shimla
Drive via Jalori Pass. Quick Jibhi valley stop. Arrive Shimla.
Shimla: Departure
Morning at leisure. Drop to Shimla bus stand or Kalka.

Do I need trekking experience?
No. This is a road trip with light walks. You ride through the passes — no climbing. Anyone reasonably fit can do this.

Very limited in Spiti — BSNL works in some areas. Treat it as a digital detox. We share emergency protocols before departure.
